Richard Abels | Principal

Richard is the principal of Abels Communication Company, where he has helped a variety of public, private, non-profit and governmental organizations identify their strategic advantages and communicate to their key audiences in a clear, concise manner. His work in strategic planning, positioning, messaging, active and reactive public relations and issues/crisis preparedness has helped Denver Urban Renewal Authority, Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, Metropolitan State College of Denver, National MS Society, Cingular Wireless, City of Commerce City, Sprint and many other organizations meet or exceed their goals.
 

Eric Bengston | Certified Project Manager

Eric is a certified Project Manager and his career includes a variety of business technical and marketing experiences at companies such as IBM, Qwest, Vail Resorts and Quark as well as a couple of startups. Now as a General Manager with Swift Communications, Eric leads the Digital Marketing Solutions organization helping customers create integrated digital advertising campaigns including Social Media Marketing.

 

Jim Licko | Senior Communications Director

Jim Licko has more than a decade of communications experience, including crisis management, consumer public relations, public affairs and social media outreach. A former journalist, he has a keen sense for developing successful media strategies and storytelling.

Prior to joining GroundFloor Media, he worked for Pete Webb Public Relations working on accounts such as the Colorado Department of Transportation’s drunk driving and seat belt safety programs, as well as managing the dedication of the Columbine Memorial and handling a variety of crisis situations.

Previously, Jim was vice president of public relations for integrated marketing firm MCS in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He began his career as a broadcast news reporter, and later a sports reporter/anchor at KWWL-TV in eastern Iowa.
