The Denver Metro Chamber’s councils, committees and task forces are focused on providing a forum to discuss, become educated and establish formal business perspectives on economic development, education, growth, health care, transportation and water. When necessary, the council recommends action on public policy issues to the Chamber Board of Directors. In many instances, these groups work with elected officials and legislative bodies to advance the goals of the Chamber, serving as the voice of the regional business community.
The Chamber’s Public Affairs Council provides a forum for its high-level investors to discuss, become educated and establish formal business perspectives on public policy issues. The Public Affairs Council, along with the Health Care and Transportation committees, helps drive and inform the Chamber's involvement in the public policy arena at the local, state and federal levels.
The Public Affairs Council typically meets the last Friday of every month at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Health Care Committee
The Health Care Committee is a forum for discussion and action related to the business perspective about health care issues. The group emphasizes on the increasing rising cost of health insurance premiums for small employers, as well as overall costs, quality and access.
The Health Care Committee typically meets the first Friday of every month at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Transportation Committee
The Transportation Committee is a forum for discussion and action related to statewide, multi-modal transportation policy with an emphasis on funding. The Transportation Committee collaborates with the staff and leadership of state, local and regional agencies.
The Transportation Committee typically meets the third Friday of every month at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Water Task Force
The Water Task Force is a forum for discussion and action related to state water issues. The Water Task Force’s goal is to provide the business leadership necessary to provide guidance about water related policy decisions and educate the business community about the role water availability plays in economic development.

Education Task Force
The Education Task Force will provide a forum for our members to encourage dialogue and engagement around education topics including, but not limited to, education policy, education funding and the collaboration that must take place in Colorado for successful improvements to our education system, paying particular attention to state-wide standards, accountability and outcomes. The Education Task Force will focus on the entire P-20 system.
It meets on an as-needed basis.
