WINTER 2013 CHAMBER CHAMPION
Don Hodgkin, owner and founder of Hodgkin Business Coaching Inc., was honored as this quarter’s Chamber Champion at the December 13, 2012, Board of Directors meeting. The Chamber Champion award is given quarterly to a member who has shown an outstanding commitment and contribution to the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Hodgkin joined the Chamber in 2001. He founded his company in 1994 to combine his expertise in psychology and business. Since the company’s inception, he has coached managers wanting to increase productivity, executives seeking better leadership styles and employees facing significant morale problems, among others.
He has worked with all sizes and types of companies, ranging from small business, professional service firms, family-owned businesses and large corporations. In the process, he has helped companies vastly improve communications, resolve conflicts, establish strategic plans, increase revenue and achieve consistent profitability.
Since joining, Hodgkin has been an influential member of the Chamber, working with the programs department and helping members grow and develop professionally. Hodgkin was instrumental in the creation of the Gold Member Alliance Program in 2004, and he recently worked to rebrand the CEO Exchange program. CEO Exchange is the Chamber’s flagship program that offers executives and directors from non-competing industries an exclusive forum to share ideas, discuss best practices and problem-solve on current business challenges. He has also serves in the position of facilitator for GMAP and CEO Exchange, which has proven to be a very successful endeavor.
As a leader, Hodgkin continues to evaluate programs and implement innovative ideas to improve attendance, participation and value for the program. He is currently working with the Chamber’s program staff to start a new program that will add additional value for members. His Chamber involvement has been instrumental in enhancing these programs.
Hodgkin’s commitment not only to the success of his own business, but that of the business community and the Chamber, is the type of leadership that continues to build upon Colorado’s economic strength.
