• Sign up to mentor a child through organizations like Big Brothers and Sisters, Boys and Girls Club and United Way

In September, the Chamber hosted education reform expert Michelle Rhee and former presidential education advisor Margaret Spellings.Speaking to more than 250 business and community leaders on Sept. 19, nationally renowned education reformer Michelle Rhee said America, as a country, has “gone soft.” “We are too busy making kids feel good about themselves [rather] than actually making them good at something,” Rhee said.
