The focus of this quarter’s program is hydraulic fracturing, otherwise known as fracking. Fracking is the water-intensive industrial process that drillers use to extract oil and natural gas held in shale formations. Increased oil and gas production through fracking can increase domestic production to improve energy security and create jobs in our economy.
