A MEMBER-TO-MEMBER ENGAGEMENT RESOURCE
Chamber Ambassadors are Chamber members in good standing who volunteer for a 7-month term to enhance member retention and involvement. Ambassadors are individuals who know the Chamber well, and can help educate new and existing members about the benefits of membership and involvement. Ambassadors are some of the most visible Chamber members, and have the opportunity to increase their network, as well as their leadership skills through the program. Members may apply for the Ambassador Program after gaining experience at the Chamber through programs, events and committees. Completing the Chamber 101 program or volunteering for the Challenge Campaign is encouraged. Ambassadors are selected through an application and interview process. The program is limited to 40 participants each term.
Participants will be asked to connect with new and existing members to show them how to become more involved with Chamber programs, events and committees. In addition, Ambassadors should generate new membership leads by discussing the benefits of membership with nonmembers.
Participants in the program enjoy a higher level of access to programs and committees in return for their service to the Chamber. These benefits include:
- Volunteer opportunities at all events and programs and in return for a complimentary or discounted ticket to the event or program
- Participation in a Chamber Board roundtable discussion (1 annually)
- Availability to attend a Chamber Board meeting (1 annually)
- Networking opportunities and visibility at Chamber events by staffing an information table
- Access to influential business leaders and an increased business network
Cost to participate in the program is $125 for 7 months. Program fee is due upon acceptance into the program.
